Steve Sullivan was a standout defensive back for the St. John Fisher College football team. Sullivan led the Cardinals to a 28-4 overall record and the NCFA playoffs in each of his three seasons. The All-American tied the all-time interception record with 16 over his three-year tenure and started all 32 games for Fisher. The Cardinals compiled a 26-2 regular season record with Sullivan in the secondary. He led the Cardinals to a 25-13 win over Siena College in the 1985 NCFA National Championship game. In the championship game he tied a single-game record with three interceptions, while recording eight tackles and breaking up five passes. Sullivan, who was named team captain in 1985, tallied a single-season-record nine interceptions that same year. Steve graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
