One of the most prolific pitchers in Fisher’s storied history, Jurik became the program’s first-ever MLB draft pick after being taken in the 25th round by the Atlanta Braves.

A three-time Empire 8 All-Conference selection, he was named the conference’s Pitcher of the Year in 2010 after going 7-3 with a 1.99 earned run average and 85 strikeouts in 77.0 innings. At the time of his induction, he still ranked second all-time in innings pitched (226.1), strikeouts (202) and wins (22).  At the time of his graduation, he held all of those records.

As of 2018, his name still appeared on several single season lists as well. His 85 strikeouts in 2010 was the third most all-time in a single season while his 13 games started in 2010 was tied for the most all-time in a single season.

During his four years at Fisher, the team went 106-58-1 (.645) and made two NCAA Championship appearances including the College’s first-ever trip in 2007.

After his time in a Fisher uniform, Jurik began playing baseball professionally and reached High-A before returning to campus to serve as an assistant baseball coach where he helped Fisher to back-to-back NCAA appearances including a trip to the World Series in 2016.
