St. John Fisher University Athletics Hall of Fame
Despite suffering a season-ending ankle injury four games into the 1986-87 season, Shelly Bayhurst returned stronger than ever and paced the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball program to a 30-1 record and an NCAA Division III runner-up finish the following year. During her senior year, Shelly was named to the NCAA Division III Final Four and the NYSWCAA All-Tournament teams and also earned ECAC All-Star honors. Shelly ranks eighth at the College in career scoring with 1,151 points, eighth in career field goals with 488 and 11th with 189 career steals at the time of induction. Shelly graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
