St. John Fisher University Athletics Hall of Fame
Perhaps no center in Fisher history could fill up a stat sheet like Amanda Waloven did for the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball program from 1996-2000. During her career at Fisher, Waloven was a part of four seasons that resulted in an 81-26 overall record including two NCAA Championship appearances, one “Sweet 16” appearance and an Empire 8 Conference title. Waloven was instrumental in these victories by being above average at nearly every aspect of the game inside the post. As a scorer, her 1,163 career points rank as 13th most all-time at Fisher. She also totaled 701 rebounds, 222 steals and nearly 80 blocks in her career. Waloven thrived during her junior and senior seasons, averaging over 15 points and eight rebounds per game in each season. In addition to the several accolades she earned in that two year stretch, she was named as the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Year for the 1999-2000 season after leading Fisher to its first-ever Empire 8 Championship and a berth in the NCAA Championship “Sweet 16”. A 10-time St. John Fisher College Athlete of the Week, Waloven graduated from Fisher in 2000 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Education.
