Jen Wilder was a catalyst for the Cardinals during her four-year career with the St. John Fisher College softball program. A four-year starter in centerfield, while serving as the team’s leadoff hitter, Wilder supplied the Cardinals with a mix of grit, speed and power.
As a senior, Wilder set the Fisher single-season record for hits and runs scored, while pacing the Cardinals to one of the most remarkable runs not only in Fisher history, but in Division III softball.
After returning from Florida with an 8-7 record, the 1999 Cardinals won 31 of their final 35 games and finished the season with a 39-11 overall record.. Fisher won the New York state championship that year and after missing an NCAA Championship bid, Fisher battled back in the loser’s bracket to win the ECAC North Championship.
Wilder finished her collegiate as the College’s all-time leader in several categories, including hits (223); runs scored (154); doubles (27); batting average (.405) and on-base percentage (.502).
An All-State and All-Region First Team selection as a senior, the Canajoharie native graduated with a degree in Sociology in resides in Montgomery, New York with her husband.
