St. John Fisher University Athletics Hall of Fame
Jason Meyers was a member of the St. John Fisher College football team from 2000-2003 and helped build the Cardinals into one of the most powerful programs in Division III.
Meyers graduated as the program’s all-time leader in rush yards with (4,017), carries with (772) and rushing touchdowns with (38). He set a single-season record for most rushing attempts in a season with 308 in his senior campaign.
Meyers set several single-game records including most rushing yards in a game (385), rushing attempts (48) and longest rush for a touchdown (92 yards). He also set a then single-season record, finishing the 2003 season with 1,585 yards, which ranked fifth in NCAA Division III in rushing yards per game.
A three-time Football Gazette All-East Region and two-time Empire 8 First Team selection, Meyers was also named the NCAA Division III Player of the Week for his 385 rushing yards and three touchdown performance versus the University of Rochester in 2003. He was named All-American by d3football.com and was also named to the 26th Annual College Sports Information Directors Division III All-America Football Team.  Â
He was part of a team that set a then program mark for wins in a season with eight and fewest losses with three. Â
Meyers played a pivotal role in Fisher’s 43-37 win over SUNY Cortland in the ECAC Northwest Championship Bowl, rushing for 169 yards and a touchdown, marking Fisher’s first-ever postseason appearance in the program’s 17-year history.
