St. John Fisher University Athletics Hall of Fame
A two-sport athlete at St. John Fisher College, Donna Blancato excelled in both volleyball and women’s basketball. Donna finished her volleyball career as the College’s career leader in points (2,002) and second in career kills (1,116). She also set the single-season record for blocks (195). A two-time NAIA volleyball All-American, she was also the NYSAIAW Most Valuable Player in 1979, PCAC All-Tournament Team member and National Championship Second Team selection in 1980. On the basketball court, Donna totaled 1,493 career points and ranks fourth on Fisher’s all-time scorer’s list. In 1983, she was an NCAA Division II Kodak All-American Third Team. Donna graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor of Art degree in Communication/Journalism.
