St. John Fisher University Athletics Hall of Fame
Stephanie Hein was a three-year starter for the women’s basketball team under Hall of Fame coach Phil Kahler. In her four-years with the Cardinals, Stephanie compiled a 100-12 overall record, including going 56-2 in her final two seasons.
As a senior, Hein won several awards, including national player of the week honors, Most Valuable Player of the Albany Great Dane Invitational and was named to three all-tournament teams. Fisher finished the 1994-95 season with a 28-1 record with Hein averaging 10.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.3 steals.
Stephanie played in 111 of a possible 112 games for the Cardinals and scored 935 points. Her 770 rebounds still ranks seventh all-time in school history, while her 264 career steals sits fifth on the all-time list.
