Matt Hargather was one of the most productive players in the early years of the St. John Fisher College men’s lacrosse program. In his four-year career from 2004-2007, Hargather led the Cardinals to 27 total wins and the program’s first ever appearance in both the Empire 8 Conference Championship and the ECAC Upstate Championship in the 2006 season. Hargather finished his career with 150 career goals, a mark that still ranks as first in the Fisher all-time record books. His 169 career points also rank as fourth-most all-time at Fisher. In Hargather’s 2007 senior season, he managed to set the Fisher single game record in goals and points after scoring eight goals and tallying two assists in an 18-8 win over Washington & Jefferson on 3/6/2007. That season, the Fairport native was an Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team selection after posting a Fisher single-season record of 56 points. Hargather graduated from St. John Fisher College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
