Arguably the most productive player to come out of the St. John Fisher women’s lacrosse program, Laurie Quackenbush dominated the record books in her four-year career from 2005-2008. Quackenbush led the Cardinals to 39 total wins and its first ever Empire 8 title and an appearance in the Division III NCAA tournament in 2007.
In her senior season, Fisher captured its first ever ECAC Championship title.
Quackenbush finished her career setting program records in career goals, assists, points, and draw controls. She still sits in first place all time in ground balls with 276 and caused turnovers with 135. She also holds single season records in ground balls and caused turnovers, while she finished her career holding the record for most goals and draw controls in a single season. Quackenbush received an impressive set of accolades including becoming Fisher’s first ever women’s lacrosse All-American as she was named to the Empire Region First Team. In Conference awards she was named Empire 8 Player of the Year her junior and senior seasons, and was a four-year Empire 8 first-team all-conference selection. In 2008 she was given the honor of being one of ten recipients of the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association Scholar Athlete Award and was also dubbed as Fisher’s Sportswoman of the year.
Quackenbush graduated from St. John Fisher College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
