St. John Fisher University Athletics

During his time as a student at St. John Fisher, Patrick Tobin competed in both basketball and cross country and served as the athletic board’s director as a senior.

He was responsible for the hiring of hall-of-famer Bobby Wanzer as Fisher’s first men’s basketball coach and played an instrumental part in the development of the College's athletic department.

Upon graduating from Fisher in 1962, Tobin was commissioned as a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.  Following an Honorable Discharge, Tobin returned to Rochester where he became a prominent member of the business community.
