Jeff Sidney became the 14th player from the St. John Fisher College men’s basketball team to eclipse 1,000 career points, as he finished with 1,289 career points.
 
As a senior captain, he led the Cardinals to the most wins in the program history with the only loss coming in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. Among the wins included the College’s third consecutive Empire 8 Championship title.
 
Sidney stood out in all aspects of the game, adding five career marks to the top-10 all-time records: He ranks first with 157 steals and fourth in games played (110) and free throws made (334). His 681 rebounds rank fifth and his 455 field goals rank seventh. In addition, Sidney ranks second in single-season free throws made with 122. 
 
Sidney received numerous honors in his senior year: He was named an NABC All-American, the first player from Fisher since 1994, as well as the Empire 8 Player of the Year. He was named to the NABC All-America Second Team, DIII News All-American Third Team, NABC East Region First Team, D3Hoops.com All-East Region First Team, ECAC Upstate First Team and Empire 8 Conference First Team.
