St. John Fisher University Athletics

Brandon Fuentes (Avon/Avon) of the men’s track and field team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 22.

The junior recorded 13.68 meters in the triple jump at the College at Brockport’s Golden Eagle Invite on Saturday.

Fuentes’ jump broke Fisher’s previous record (13.56 meters) that he also owned since February 2014. The jumper also qualified for the ECAC Championship on March 6-7 at The Armory in New York City.

The Cardinals return to action on Friday at the two-day NYSCTC Championship at host Rochester Institute of Technology.
