St. John Fisher College’s Rachael Kline (Oneida/Oneida), a junior on the volleyball team, has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 28, 2012.
Kline helped the Cardinals to a 2-2 week, with Fisher playing its final games of the 2012 season on Saturday. In addition to her 40 kills, Kline totaled 10 digs, 13 blocks, two service aces and an assist over the four games.
Kline played in all 15 sets last week, with two solo blocks coming on Saturday in a 3-1 win over SUNY Oswego. On Wednesday, the Cardinals defeated Brockport 3-1 as well, as she had four digs, four blocks and one of her aces.
In a 3-0 loss to Fredonia on Tuesday, Kline put away six kills. In Fisher’s final game of the season, a 3-1 loss against SUNY Potsdam, Kline compiled eight kills, an ace, one assist and four assisted blocks.
Kline finishes the year tied for first on the team in blocks (83) and second on the team in kills (186).
