St. John Fisher University Athletics

Elle Lazore (Syracuse/West Genesse) of the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team has been named the College's Female  Athlete of the Week after leading the Cardinals in their first teo Empire 8 Conference matchups of the season. 

Lazore led the way for the Cardinals in their 57-52 conference victory over Houghton, notching a team-high 11 points to go along with one block and one assist, while also shooting 3-4 from beyond the arc. 

The sophomore then followed up with a career-high 18 points in the Cardinals matchup with Hartwick on Saturday afternoon. Lazore shot 4-10 from deep and also posted four rebounds. 

The women's basketball team returns to action on Friday at 5:30 p.m. when it welcomes Sage to Manning & Napier Gymnasium for another Empire 8 Conference matchup.
