St. John Fisher University Athletics

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Grace O’Brien of the women’s track and field team has been named the St. John Fisher College Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 16^th, 2017.

O’Brien set a new career record in the pole vault on Friday at the Golden Eagle Friday Night Invite. The freshman bounded 3.12 meters, eclipsing her previous best by .42 meters and earning her fourth place in the event. The leap also tied the St. John Fisher College outdoor record.

Women’s track and field will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday as the team travels to nearby Nazareth College for the Empire 8 Conference Championships.
