St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Mark Iseneker of the baseball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 27^th, 2016.

Fisher swept this week with three Empire 8 Conference wins on the road at Elmira College, winning 5-2 on Friday, and 4-1, 9-0 in Saturday’s doubleheader.

Iseneker became the first pitcher for Fisher to throw a no-hitter since the 2011 season after not allowing a hit in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.  The junior struck out 11 batters for 26 at bats in the win. Only one batter got on base on a lead-off walk in the second inning, but the batter would later be out on a double play.

The Cardinals return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when they host the University of Rochester at Dugan Yard.
