St. John Fisher College has named Tyler McArdell (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) of the men’s golf team as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 24, 2010.

McArdell was the medalist at Monday’s Nazareth Invitational, played at Irondequoit Country Club.

The junior shot a 1-over-par 73 for the second straight day on Monday to earn a three-shot victory over teammate Justin Tyo (Massena/Massena).

Fisher finished the invitational with a two-day total of 598 (288-310), giving the Cardinals their fourth tournament victory of the 2010-2011 season.

For the year, McArdell has finished 11th or better five of Fisher’s six tournaments. He is averaging 76.6 shots per round.

Fisher returns to action next semester.
