UTICA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's track and field team finished third at the Utica College Pioneer Open with 94 points.
Kyle Rollins won the 60-meter hurdles race in 8.62 seconds. He also competed in the long jump for the first time this season and earned third place with a leap of 6.49 meters.
Eddie Mahana came in second in the 400-meters with a time of 50.16, cutting down on his already top time in the Empire 8.
Grant Stokoe,
Myles Anderson,
Fred Owen and
Zak Kennedy team up to place second in the 4x400 relay. Stokoe also finished third in the Mile with a time of 4:26.56.
Savion Joyles earns his highest finish in the high jump by placing second with a leap of 1.88 meters.
Chase Corcoran hit the 16.46 meter mark in the weight throw to take second place.
Ryan Desautels earned two top-five places with second in the shot put and fourth in the weight throw. His 14.96 meter throw in the shot put was a personal best.
Phoenix Palmer tied his personal best in the pole vault while placing third in the event.
Jonah Dean placed fourth in the 400-meters.
Leyton Miner fifth in the shot put.
Earning new personal bests were
Ryan Allen,
Ryan Driscoll and
Brandon Nicosia in the mile. In addition to
Jordan Kostera in the pole vault as well as
Joe Jerkovich and
Jack Mott in the weight throw.
The Cardinals travel to the Brockport Invite next Saturday.
