PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Five members of the St. John Fisher men's track and field team have earned All-Empire 8 Conference honors for the 2025-26 indoor season.
Sophomore Trystan Biller (60-meter hurdles), senior Brandon Kaplan (weight throw) and junior Hayden Penna (pole vault) headline the Cardinals' list of honorees as first-team All-E8 performers in their respective events. Sophomores Oren Welch (pole vault) and Daniel Davis (shot put) achieved second and third-team honors, respectively.
The Empire 8 first, second and third team all-conference selections were determined at the championship meet on Feb. 27-28.
In addition, sophomore Landon Wertz was selected as St. John Fisher's representative on the conference's "Tomorrow's Leaders Team." The Tomorrow's Leaders Team recognizes a student-athlete from each E8 team who has demonstrated leadership in competition, in the classroom and in the community.
Biller, Kaplan and Penna each won Empire 8 Indoor titles in their respective events. Kaplan and Penna competed in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 13 and recorded top-16 finishes to claim All-America honors.
The Cardinals begin the outdoor track and field season on Saturday by hosting the Fisher Tri-Meet at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex.
