2025: Played in 25 sets over nine matches… recorded 70 kills and 41 digs… slammed 15 kills in a win over UC Santa Cruz on March 26… missed the last two months of the season due to injury.

2024: Played in 93 sets over 27 matches… led the team in kills (270)... defensively recorded 123 digs along with 38 total blocks… named Empire 8 Men’s volleyball Player of the Week on Feb. 26… earned second-team UVC All-Conference honors for the third straight year… Earned E8 Player of the Year for the second straight year… named to the AVCA All-Region II Team… had a dominant performance in a win over Aurora on March 9, delivering 19 kills, tallying five digs and two blocks.

2023: Appeared in 84 sets across 25 matches... Recorded 225 kills on 576 attempts, 14 assists, 22 aces, 113 digs, 44.0 total blocks and 272.0 points... Averaged 2.68 kills, 1.35 digs, .52 blocks and 3.24 points per set. 

2022: Named to the AVCA All-North Region Team ... Named All-UVC Second Team ... Named AVCA Player of the Week on March 8 ... Awarded the Empire 8 Player of the Year ... Appeared in 29 games for the Cardinals ... In a breakout 2022 campaign, Baker paced the nationally-ranked Cardinals with career highs in kills (354) and kills per set (3.44) to go along with 133 digs, 46 total blocks, and 30 aces ... Ranked third in the UVC and 35th in Division III in kills per set ... Baker was a key member for the Cardinals as he helped lead the team to its first NCAA appearance.

2021: Saw action in 12 matches as a freshman, starting 8 of them ... Tallied 68 kills on the year with a season-high 15 kills vs Vassar on April 9 ... Ranked second on the team in kills per set with 2.06 and  third on the team in points per set with 2.45.

High School: Was a member of the varsity volleyball program for four years ... Was selected as the Times Union Boys Volleyball Player of the year in back-to-back years ... Named Suburban Council MVP ... Tabbed First-Team All-State in 2019 and again in 2020.

Personal: A Marketing major, Jake is the son of Dina and Ryan.
