2025: Played in 66 sets over 27 matches… slammed 123 kills and had 14 service aces… defensively, he had 95 digs and 13 total blocks, including three solo… had a season-high 16 kills while hitting .273 against Vassar on March 1… was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week after that match… also slammed 16 kills in a win over Nichols on Feb. 22, ending the match with a .600 hitting percentage… had nine assists in a win over Mt. St. Joseph on Jan. 11.

High School: Named Orchard Park High School Athlete of the Year in 2024 as a senior… earned first-team All-WNY honors twice (2022 and 2023)... was named Section 6 Co-Player of the Year in 2023… helped Orchard Park win Section 6 titles in 2021 and 2022… won ECIC 1 League titles in 2021, 2022 and 2023… also played baseball… he made the Section 6 Baseball All-Star team in 2024… earned first-team ECIC honors in 2024 and second-team honors in 2023… was part of league championships in 2023 and 2024.

Personal: Evan is the son of Christina and Nestor Hernandez… he has a sister, Ella… he studies sport management… his dad, Nestor, is a combat veteran who served in Iraq… his uncle, Mark Drabik, played baseball at Niagara University… he was inducted into the Niagara Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
