High School: Named MVP of his volleyball team three times… earned MTEM All-Star honors twice… graduated magna cum laude… played club volleyball for Borinquen Coqui.

Personal: Giancarlo is the son of Neyzza Figueroa and Raymond Martinez… he has a brother, Gabriel… his dad played baseball in the major leagues for more than a decade… he is majoring in sport management. 

Fun Fact: Doesn’t shave facial hair the day before he plays… pregame ritual includes tying his right shoe first.
