PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Six St. John Fisher women's track and field athletes and two relay teams have earned All-Empire 8 Conference recognition for the 2026 outdoor season.Â
First-, second- and third-team All-Empire 8 selections were determined during the conference's championship meet in May at St. John Fisher's Polisseni Track and Field Complex.
Sophomore Abigail Dorunda headlines the Cardinals' list of All-E8 performers, as she earned first-team status in the 100-meter run and third-team status in the 200-meter run in addition to contributing to the Cardinals' first-place 4x100-meter relay team and second-place 4x400-meter relay team. The Empire 8 named her its Track Athlete of the Meet following the championship.Â
Additionally, Dorunda was selected as St. John Fisher's representative on the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team. The Tomorrow's Leaders Team recognizes a student-athlete from each E8 team who has demonstrated leadership in competition, in the classroom and in their community. Â
