The St. John Fisher University men's soccer team released its 2025 schedule on Wednesday, just 50 days away from the regular season kicking off.

The 16-game slate features five non-conference opponents and 11 Empire 8 Conference opponents. The Cardinals will play seven games at home and nine on the road.

Sixth-year head coach Jack Burgasser and the Cardinals open their season in New Jersey with a matchup at Rutgers-Camden on Aug. 29. Two days later, at 3 p.m. on August 31, the Cardinals face Clarkson in their home opener at Growney Stadium.

The Cardinals have non-conference road games against Hobart at 1 p.m. Sept. 6 and the Rochester Institute of Technology at 4 p.m. Sept. 10 before beginning conference play at Elmira at 4 p.m. Sept. 13.

The Cardinals round off their non-conference slate with a home game against University of Rochester at 7 p.m. Sept. 17.

Fisher begins a stretch of three consecutive home games against SUNY Geneseo at noon on Sept. 20. The Cardinals host Utica at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 and Alfred at 7 p.m. Oct. 1.

A stretch of four road games follows that homestand, as the Cardinals face Russell Sage at 1 p.m. Oct 4, SUNY Poly at 6 p.m. Oct 8, SUNY Brockport at 1 p.m. Oct. 11 and Houghton at 7 p.m. Oct. 15.

The Cardinals finally return to Growney Stadium on Oct. 18 for a matchup against Hartwick. The team will honor its seniors prior to that game.

The regular season for the Cardinals concludes with a road game against Keuka at 3 p.m. Oct. 25 and a home game against East Avenue rival Nazareth at 7 p.m. Oct. 29.

The  Cardinals won the Empire 8 championship to reach the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history last season. Their 11 wins marked their most under Burgasser and the third-most by a team in program history.
