PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's track and field team made the short trek over to Nazareth College for the Conference Challenge on Saturday. The Cardinals, who are ranked 20th in the USTFCCCA National Track & Field National Index, placed fourth out of 12 teams with 87 points. The meet featured four top 25 teams and Fisher finished ahead of seventh-ranked Cortland in the team standings.

The Cardinals won four events with Kyle Rollins winning in both the high jump and the triple jump. Ryan Desautels claimed his first-ever collegiate first place in the Shot Put and Daniel Norris came across the finish line first in the 60-meter dash. Norris and Eddie Mahana, in the 60-meter hurdles, both tied their own school records in their respective events.

Rollins set a new season-high in the high jump with a leap of 2.09 meters to win. The mark currently has him tied for second in the nation. The Groveland native then cleared 14.41 meters in the triple jump to take the top prize. So far this season, Rollins has placed first every time he has competed in the both the high jump and the triple jump.

Desautels had the best throw on the day in the shot put with a hitting the 14.24-meter mark. Norris had the fastest time in qualifying and then beat out a competitor by .01 seconds in the final. Mahana's day was highlighted by a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles and a third-place finish in 200-meter dash. In his first hurdles event this season, Mahana had the fastest time in qualifying. The time qualified the Clay native for the Atlantic Regional Championship and currently ranks tied for second in the nation.

Mahana then ran the 200-meter dash in 23.07 seconds just one hundredth of a second behind fellow teammate Jonah Dean who took second while setting a new personal record in the event.
