St. John Fisher University Athletics

Riley Corey (Waterloo/Waterloo) of the St. John Fisher College women's track and field team has been tabbed the College's Female Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that concluded January 19, 2020.

Corey continued to build momentum as the freshman won the 5,000 meter run for the Cardinals after crossing the finish in 18:57.08 for the first-place finish. The Waterloo native's time was just seven seconds short of qualifying for the Atlantic Regional Championship. Her mark was 18 seconds faster than the second place finisher.

Corey and the rest of the women's track and field team is scheduled to be back in action Saturday at the Conference Challenge at Nazareth.
