St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Maria Kelleher of the women’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending January 3^rd, 2016.

Kelleher had a standout performance in Fisher’s century-mark win over Medaille College (101-65) on Saturday. The 101 points are the most scored in a game by Fisher since the 1991-92 season when the Cardinals defeated City College of New York 106-24.

The junior went 4-for-6 overall and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, totaling 15 points overall. She also shot 100% from the free throw line (4-4) in the 101-65 win.

The Cardinals return to action at 8 p.m. on January 8^th when they take on Elmira College on the road in the first Empire 8 Conference matchup of the season.
