NEW YORK, N.Y. — Two school records fell and two athletes earned their way to the podium as the St. John Fisher women's track and field team finished the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships strong on Saturday.
Freshman Makenna Keough placed second and set Fisher's indoor record in the triple jump with a mark of 11.35 meters. It marked her second time breaking the record in the event in the last month.
Sophomore Kianna Naval also reached the podium in the triple jump. She placed fifth at 11.21 meters, a personal best and the second-best indoor mark in program history.
Sophomore Brianne Hurlburt set the Cardinals' record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.16, good for an 11th-place finish. Senior Caitlin Voloshen previously held the record at 2:18.27, set last year in the E8 Indoor Championships.
The Cardinals finished the meet tied for 19th place with 12 points. SUNY Geneseo captured the team title with 82 points, while Ithaca finished in second with 70.
