PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's track and field team had several athletes post impressive numbers in frigid temperatures as it opened the outdoor season by hosting the Cardinal Tri-Meet at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex.
Field Highlights

Sophomore Kathryn Hillyard qualified for regionals in the pole vault with a mark of 3.36, good for second on Fisher's outdoor top five list for the event.

Sophomore Hailee Garcia placed first in the discus throw with a hurl of 38.41 meters, the fifth-best mark in program history. She qualified for the regional meet with her performance.

Seniors Anna Steed and Jazelle McIntyre qualified for regionals and placed first and second, respectively, in the hammer throw. Steed recorded a throw of 47.73 meters, while McIntyre had a toss of 46.27 meters.
Track Highlights

Freshman Emily Heiner recorded a time of 12.51 seconds in the 100-meter run, qualifying for regionals.

Freshman Abigayle Snyder (16.55 seconds) placed first in the 100-meter hurdles event.

Freshman Juliana Riemersma (1:01.66) placed first in the 400-meter run.

Senior Olivia Grinnell won the 800-meter run event with a time of 2:30.40.

Sophomore Abigail Dorunda won the 200-meter run with a time of 26.43 seconds.

Sophomore Abby Nash placed first in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 20:41.89.
