PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Three individuals and one doubles tandem from the St. John Fisher University women's tennis team garnered All-Empire 8 Conference honors for the 2026 season. The league announced its major awards and All-Empire 8 teams on Tuesday.
Sophomore Adriana Colafranceschi (first team) and seniors Isabella Busch (second team) and Lily Miller (third team) earned All-Empire 8 recognition in singles. Busch and Colafranceschi received second-team All-Conference honors in doubles.
Busch added to her haul of honors as St. John Fisher's representative on the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leader Team. The Tomorrow's Leaders Team recognizes one student-athlete from each Empire 8 institution who has demonstrated leadership in competition, in the classroom, and in the community.
Colafranceschi played all 11 of her matches at second singles this season and finished with a 10-1 record, the top mark on the team. She started the season 1-1 before ripping off a nine-match winning streak.
Busch, who played all of her matches at third singles, went 8-3. She went on a six-match winning streak after a 1-1 start and won seven of her last nine matches overall to end the fall season.
Miller ended the season with a 5-6 mark, all at first singles. She reached 32 career singles wins on Sept. 25 against Brockport to pass Kaili Saffran (30 singles wins from 2017-20) for the most in Fisher history.
Busch and Colafranceschi played in nine matches together at first doubles, posting a 4-5 record. They won three of their final four matches of the year.
The Cardinals went 7-4 overall and 6-2 in Empire 8 play this fall. They lost to Alfred in the conference semifinals.
