PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Sophomore Colin Patterson led the St. John Fisher men's golf team to a first-place finish in the SJF Collegiate Invite at the Wild Wood Country Club in nearby Rush on Sunday and Monday.
The Cardinals, who edged Nazareth by 13 strokes on the team leaderboard, carded a 304 (+38) over the two-day tournament. Patterson carded a 73 on Sunday and a 77 on Monday to finish eight-over 150, edging Nazareth's Jaxstin Bingham by three strokes.
Sophomore Nick Years, the 2024-25 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year, finished in a tie for second (+11, 153 strokes). He carded a 76 on Sunday and a 77 on Monday.
Freshman Gavin Ruggio ended the tournament tied for fourth at +12 (154), while sophomores Jack Doran and Robert Fischer tied for sixth place at +13 (155). Fischer shot a round-low 73 on Monday.
