PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher finished second among Empire 8 Conference athletic departments and tied for 87th overall in the final NCAA Division III Learfield Directors' Cup standings, released by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Tuesday.

Not counting 2019-20 or 2020-21, when there were no Learfield Cup standings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fisher has finished in the top 100 every academic year since 2014-15. Division III includes 431 institutions.

St. John Fisher amassed 225.5 points during the 2024-25 academic year, with the department's women's volleyball (25), men's soccer (25), women's lacrosse (64), men's lacrosse (64), men's indoor track and field (13.5) and men's golf (34) teams contributing to that total. SUNY Geneseo led E8 institutions with 674.5 points and placed 18th overall.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
