ITHACA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's track and field team stands in a tie for seventh place after the first day of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships at Ithaca College's Glazer Arena.
Freshman Kathryn Hillyard had the top performance of the night for the Cardinals, as she tied the program record with a mark of 3.47m in the pole vault. She placed eighth and earned a spot on the podium in the event.

Senior Ciarra Franz had another strong performance in the 60m hurdles event, placing seventh with a time of 8.86. Franz, who won the Empire 8 Indoor Championship in the event last week, entered the regional championship ranked No. 19 in the event in all of Division III.

Senior Veronica Duell placed third in the long jump (5.62m).

The Cardinals' 4x400 team of Grace Wright, Emma Wright, Sophia Leach and Abigail Dorunda placed seventh and earned a spot on the podium with a time of 4:02.49.

Freshman Makenna Manson recorded the fifth-fastest 60m run time in program history (7.93 seconds).
