Sepulveda Becomes All-American In Long Jump On First Day Of Division III Track and Field Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – St. John Fisher men's track and field sophomore Manuel Sepulveda earned All-American honors on Friday with a top-15 finish in the long jump in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at Nazareth University's Golisano Training Center. 

Sepulveda, a transfer from the University at Buffalo, placed 15th in the event, earning second-team All-American honors. He recorded a mark of 6.97m, his third-best performance in the long jump this season. 

Earlier in the day, senior Ciarra Franz competed in the women's 60-meter hurdles event. She recorded a time of 8.92 (18th place). 

Up Next

Sepulveda will be back at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday to compete in the men's triple jump. That event will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Golisano Training Center.
