Men's Cross Country Takes 16th In NCAA DIII Niagara Regional

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher men's cross country team placed 16th out of 27 teams in the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional on Saturday at Genesee Valley Park.

SUNY Geneseo claimed first place, while NYU, Rochester, Hamilton, and host RIT rounded out the rest of the top five. 

Junior Jace Stuart paced the Cardinals in the 8k, placing 32nd in a field that included more than 180 runners. His time of 26:08.8 marked the third-fastest time recorded by a Fisher men's runner on the Genesee Valley Park 8k course.

Additional Race Highlights

  • Stuart's time was the fastest ever by a Fisher runner on the Genesee Valley Course in the NCAA DIII Niagara Regional race. 

  • Sophomore Landon Wertz also cracked Fisher's top-20 list for the Genesee Valley Park course with a time of 27:35.2. He placed 96th overall.
