DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. – The St. John Fisher University men's golf team competed in the Oglethorpe Fall Invite on Monday and Tuesday at the West Pines Golf Club just outside of Atlanta.
The Cardinals finished the three-round tournament in 21st place at +99 (951 strokes). Rhodes, which shot two over par, finished 11 strokes better than second-place Mary Hardin-Baylor to win the tournament.
Sophomore Nick Years was the Cardinals' top performer, finishing in a four-way tie for 55th place. Years carded a two-over 73 in the second round and a four-over 75 in the third round. He recorded six birdies over the final 36 holes.
Sophomore Colin Patterson, who tied for 71st, finished the tournament with his best round, shooting three-over 74 on Tuesday. He birdied the seventh, 16th and 17th holes.
