PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's golf team produced two of the best rounds in program history in winning the Nazareth Fall Invite, which began at the Ravenwood Country Club in Rush on Sunday and finished at Pittsford's Locust Hill Country Club on Monday.
The Cardinals carded a 339 on Sunday and a 343 on Sunday for a two-day total of 682 (+106). Nazareth placed second, while Keuka, which only competed in Sunday's round, placed third.
St. John Fisher sophomore Sarah Burgess placed first on the individual leaderboard, turning in a 10-over 82 on Sunday and an eight-over 80 on Monday to finish +18 (162).
Freshman Emma Sweazy finished in a tie for third after shooting an 84 on Sunday and an 82 on Monday. She recorded a birdie on the par-four 18th hole at Locust Hill on Monday.
Junior Ava Malvaso, a transfer from Nazareth, placed sixth. She had her best round of the season on Sunday, shooting an 83.
Freshman Bella O'Rourke, who carded a 90 both days, tied for seventh place. Junior Paige Lasher placed ninth.
