PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher's Emma Sweazy has been named Empire 8 Women's Golf Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday afternoon. 

Sweazy, who's earned E8 weekly honors four times this season, led the Cardianls took a second-place finish in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship, which was played on Sunday and Monday at the Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park, New York. 

Sweazy finished tied for second place with Nazareth's Bethany Wineburg, shooting 19-over-par 163, three strokes behind champion Giana Milazzo (+16, 160 strokes). Sweazy turned in an 82 in the first round and an 81 in the second.
