ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's rowing team began its 2025-26 season on Saturday in the Head of the Genesee Regatta. 

The Cardinals placed 10th of 11 teams with a time of 24:14.1 on the nearby Genesee River. Fisher's lineup included freshman Ally Wolgast (four seat), sophomore Rhea Malmquist (three seat), Samantha Ross (two seat), Coral Brown (one seat) and junior Samantha Macko (coxswain). 

The Cardinals next compete in the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass., on Sunday, Oct. 19.
