MEADVILLE, PA – The St. John Fisher University men's and women's track and field team are traveling to a variety of competitions for their final chance at qualifying for regionals or getting some final reps before post-season competition. Today, the Cardinals made their way to Allegheny College to compete in the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational.
Makenna King earned a third-place finish in the shot put with a 13.21m throw. Erin McGuinnes followed with a fifth-place finish after tossing for a distance of 12.01m.
Anna Steed and
Jazelle McIntyre were fourth and fifth respectively in the Hammer Throw. Steed reached a distance of 47.29m, while McIntyre recorded a mark of 43.75m. King continued her successful afternoon by earning first-place in the discus throw after reaching a distance of 43.60m. McGuinnes recorded a throw of 36.09m to take third-place in the same event.
Up next for Fisher is another set of competitions, with athletes traveling to Baldwin Wallace, Widener and Williams.
