Women’s Track and Field takes part in first day of AARTFC Outdoor Championships

CORTLAND, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's track and field team competed in the first day of the AARTFC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday on the campus of SUNY Cortland.
 
In field events, junior Veronica Duell finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.66m/18'7''. Sophomore Anna Steed also took in a top-eight finish, placing seventh in the hammer throw with a distance of 49.02m/160'10''. 
 
On the track, junior Riley Jameson finished seventh with a time of 38:43.88. 
 
Fisher's athletes return to action on Thursday for the second day of regionals.
