CORTLAND, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University Men's Track and Field team competed on the first day of the AARTFC Outdoor Track and Field Championships against some of the best athletes in the region.
In field events, sophomore
Brandon Kaplan earned an eighth-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.25m/178'0''. Freshman
Hayden Penna, meanwhile, placed 12th in the pole vault with a height of 4.38m/14'4.5''.
On the track, senior
Ethan Billings placed 22nd with a time of 15:26.43, while the 4x100 team of
Brady Bishop,
Brock Young,
Ethan Fox, and
Trenton Wynn placed 23rd with a time of 43.34.
The regional championships continue on Thursday in Cortland.
