ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's and women's track and field teams stayed local to compete in the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational.
Caitlin Voloshen finished in tenth place in the 3000 meter steeplechase, crossing the finish line in a time of 11:56.44.
Grace Dolan took home tenth place in the 400 meter, doing so in a time of 1:02.16. In the 800,
Olivia Grinnell finished in tenth with a mark of 2:28.72.
Sophia Leach excelled in the 400 meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:10.61 to finish in fifth.
Lauren DeMichele and
Riley Jameson were strong in the 5000 meter race, taking second and third place respectively. DeMichele hit a mark of 18:14.00 and Jameson followed in a time of 18:23.59.
Lauren Almy also compete in the 5k, coming in tenth with a mark of 19:53.42.
Makenna King took first place in the discus throw, tossing a mark of 43.44 in her third attempt.
Erin McGuinness finished in seventh in the same event, reaching 35.66 meters in her second throw of the day. King also did well in the shot put, taking home third place with a throw of 12.70 meters in her second attempt.
Emily Frech compete in the pole vault and recorded a tenth place finish after clearing the bar at 3.01 meters in her second attempt.
Claudia Vogel came in fourth place in the high jump after jumping 1.43 meters in her second attempt. Mary Claire Rollins followed with a fifth place finish.
