PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's and women's track and field team competed in the Cardinal Classic on Saturday. Despite the rainy conditions, the Cardinals had some successful outings both on the track and in the field.
The 4x100 team of
Hayly Fredrickson,
Ashley Holt,
Sophia Leach and
Allison Lennebacker finished in fifth place with a time of 54.45.
Margaret Dolloff participated in the 3000m steeplechase and reached the finish line in 13:56.93.
Allison List took tenth in the 1500m race with a mark of 5:04.51.
Grace Dolan earned a fourth-place finish in the 400m in a time of 1:00.88. Dolan also took seventh place in 200m race with a mark of 26.91. In the 100m
Michaela Kurbs took fifth place with a time of 12.93.
Sophia Leach and Fredrickson took second and third place respectively in the 400m hurdles.
Laura Witt impressed in the 5000, earning a second-place finish with a time of 18:47.82.
Makenna King tossed a mark of 44.13 to win the discus throw. Teammate,
Erin McGuinness tossed a distance of 39.58 to take fourth place and
Morgan Collazo earned tenth place with a throw of 31.50m.
Claudia Vogel finished in fifth place in the javelin throw, hitting a mark of 28.43 in her fourth attempt. The Cardinals had four athletes finish in the top ten of the long jump, starting with
Veronica Duell taking second with a distance of 5.53.
Michaela Kurbs followed with a fourth place finish with a mark of 5.12, and
Sarah Jacques tallies a jump of 4.87 to take sixth place.
Mary Rollins rounds things out with a ninth place finish after recording a leap of 4.72.
Anna Steed won the hammer throw with her sixth attempt, reaching a distance of 48.96.
Jazelle McIntyre,
Christina Valicenti and
Madison Jones finished in eighth, ninth and tenth respectively. King added a second place finish in the shot put, reaching 12.43 in her first attempt.
