PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's and women's track and field team competed in the Cardinal Classic on Saturday. Despite the rainy conditions, the Cardinals had some successful outings both on the track and in the field.
The 4x100 team of
Brady Bishop,
Ethan Fox,
Trenton Wynn and
Brock Young finished in third place with a time of 43.78.
Ethan Morales competed in the 3000m steeplechase and finished in seventh with a time of 10:56.78.
Riley Nash finished the 1500 in tenth place with a time of 4:10.22.
John Ruggio took third place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.06. Ruggio also added a fourth place finish in the 400m hurdles to his day, achieving that place with a time of 58.12.
Trenton Wynn also raced in the 400m hurdles and took home seventh place after reaching the finish line in 59.60.
Jace Stuart raced in the 800m and took fourth place with a mark of 2:00.16.
Myles Andersen and
Ethan Billings both competed in the same race and finished in eight and tenth respectively.
Joey Curr threw a distance of 39.79 in his first attempt and that was good enough for fourth place in the discus throw.
Bryce Grove was not far behind, tossing a mark of 38.18 for a fifth-place finish.
Sean Cochrane took home fifth place in the javelin throw with a distance of 40.78.
Cole Fuller took ninth place in the event with a toss of 38.95. David Aregentieri (6.28m),
Jason Weng (6.25) and Griffin Killian (6.24) finished in fourth, fifth and sixth place respectively in the long jump.
Hayden Penna won the Pole Vault with a new program record of 4.63.
Brandon Kaplan took home fourth place in the hammer throw with a distance of 51.38, followed by
Jack Bickford in fifth place with a throw of 45.52.
Sean Cochrane was victorious in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.94 in his second attempt.
