PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's track and field team competed at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic and Brockport invitational over the weekend and had some strong performances.
Bucknell
Myles Anderson competed in the 800 meter run and finished in 19
th place with a time of 2:01.65. Anderson also took part in the one mile run and finished in 27
th with a time of 4:36.63.
Brockport
Brock Young earned a seventh place finish with a time of 11.48 in the 100 meter dash.
Jace Stuart recorded top-10 finished in the 800 meter and the 1500 meter run. He ran 2:02.83 to take 10
th place in the 800 and then secured 9
th place with a ark of 4:10.09 in the 1500.
John Ruggio earned the win in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 57.61 and team mate Luke Defio reached the finish line at 1:01.69 to take 7
th place.
Trenton Wynn nabbed third place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.17.
Sean Cochrane appeared in the high jump and cleared 1.96 meters to earn the first place honors.
Bryant DePaull garnered fourth place after clearing 1.86 meters. In the pole vault,
Hayden Penna continues his strong first season, clearing 4.46 meters for a second place finish.
Matthew Stasiw recorded a third place finish in the long jump with a distance of 6.37 meters.
Noah Dueker competed in the triple jump and took home fourth place honors after reaching a mark of 12.80 meters.
Brandon Kaplan earned the win in the hammer throw, tallying a distance of 52.93 meters.
Up next for the Cardinals is the Cortland Classic on Friday and Saturday April 19-20.
