ABBOTSTOWN, PA – The St. John Fisher University women's golf team finished second at the McDaniel Spring Invitational on Sunday, as graduate student Alexandra Tomasso won the individual title with an 18-hole score of 82. 

It was Tomasso's second first-place finish as a Cardinal, having won the individual title at the St. Lawrence Invitational in September. 

Tomasso's teammate, freshman Sarah Burgess, placed third with a score of 88. Freshman Paige Lasher and junior Naomi Cromer also earned top 20 finishes, placing 15th and 16th, respectively. 

The team trailed only Franklin and Marshall for the team title, falling short by just five strokes but placing 10 strokes ahead of third-place Gettysburg. 

The tournament was held as a one day event  after the Saturday round was canceled due to weather. 

The golf team tees off again on Saturday, April 13, at the Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational.
