ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The St. John Fisher University men's and women's Track and Field team traveled down the road to Nazareth University to compete in the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships. The Cardinals had a variety of athletes competing with their sights set on establishing their spot in the rankings.
The Distance Medley Relay kicked things off and the quad of
Allison List,
Caitlin Voloshen,
Maggie Bacon and
Olivia Grinnell finished with a time of 12:58.35, which is a season best time.
Lauren DeMichele and
Riley Jameson each ran in the 5,000 meter race. DeMichele finished in ninth place with a mark of 18:10.44, and Jameson set a lifetime PR with a time of 18:36.37.
In the field events,
Makenna King and
Erin McGuinness competed in the shot put. McGuinness threw for a mark of 11.56 in her third attempt, while King reached 11.80 meters in her first.
Michaela Kurbs took part in the long jump, and recorded a mark of 4.98m in her second attempt.
Day two of the AARTFC Championships takes place on Saturday, March 2 and will begin at 10 a.m.
