BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's placed fifth at the Brockport Multi & Invitational on Saturday, as several Cardinals put in good finishes on the day.
Track
Caitlin Voloshen took home second in the 1000m with a time of 3:06.08, finishing only behind a runner from Division II Roberts Wesleyan.
Other strong finishers included junior Riley Jameson, who placed second in the 5000m race with a time of 18:53.70. Sophomore Olivia Grinnell had a fourth-place showing in the 800m, finishing in a time of 2:27.55.
Field
Junior Veronica Duell won the long jump with an Atlantic Region-qualifying distance of 5.68m/18'7.75'', while teammate Michaela Kurbs placed fifth with a distance of 5.22m/17'1.5''.
Elsewhere, Senior Makenna King recorded a Atlantic Region-qualifying mark of 13.18m/43'3'' as she finished second in the shot put. King also placed eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 14.31m/46'11.5''. Senior Claudia Vogel got a third-place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.49m/4'10.5''.
